Witnessing the Wonder of Talay Waek

Talay Waek, or the Separated Sea, is one of Krabi’s most fascinating natural phenomena. This unique location is where the tides reveal a sandbar that connects three islands: Koh Kai (Chicken Island), Koh Tup, and Koh Mor. When the tide is low, you can walk across this sandbar, surrounded by shallow turquoise waters on either side.

The experience of walking on water, so to speak, is magical. The sandbar itself is a popular spot for taking photos, but the surrounding waters also offer great opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. Talay Waek is best visited during low tide, so planning your trip accordingly is key to witnessing this natural wonder in its full glory.
